Roseville American Art pottery, Blue Green Zephyr Lily Planter in stunning rare Art Nouveau/Art Deco shape. This beautiful Roseville planter stands 6.5 inches tall despite being marked 471-6 on the base which should suggest it's a six inch size planter. Good condition, just a small amount of crazing and some dark marks on the inside from where it's clearly been used as a planter. Beautiful colours and quite a rare shape for Roseville planters with the rather angular double handles.
The Roseville Pottery Company was an American art pottery manufacturer in the 19th and 20th centuries in Ohio, USA. Along with Rookwood Pottery and Weller Pottery, it was one of the three major art potteries located in Ohio around the turn of the 20th century. Though the company originally made simple household pieces, the Arts and Crafts–inspired designs proved popular, and Roseville pieces are now sought after by collectors.
