Beautiful tall Roseville pottery, tan coloured Luffa vase in good condition with just a small amount of crazing and no damage. The vase has it's original Roseville pottery label on the base and the number and stand 9.75 inches tall and weighs 1.6kgs unpacked. There are a couple of minor glaze defects that would have occurred in the pottery manufacturing process but otherwise a beautiful example of Roseville pottery. There are some numbers on the base of the vase in red but there are bit smudge and either say 690 or 696 but hard to say. Also a seven in blue.
The Roseville Pottery Company was an American art pottery manufacturer in the 19th and 20th centuries in Ohio, USA. Along with Rookwood Pottery and Weller Pottery, it was one of the three major art potteries located in Ohio around the turn of the 20th century. Though the company originally made simple household pieces, the Arts and Crafts–inspired designs proved popular, and Roseville pieces are now sought after by collectors.
